Sires

Welcome to the Handel Farms Sires lineup. Here you’ll find the herd bulls and AI sires that anchor our Gelbvieh, Red Angus, and Balancer breeding program. Each sire has been selected for proven performance, structural soundness, and the maternal qualities that keep our cow herd moving forward.

Our sire lineup reflects the core of Handel Farms—home-raised, proven genetics built for productivity, durability, and real-world performance. From deep maternal cow families to carefully selected sires, every bull is chosen with fertility, efficiency, and longevity in mind.

Bulls like L82 and L182 highlight the strength of our cow herd, backed by females that breed early, wean top-performing calves, and continue producing year after year—even under pressure. Alongside them, sires such as Cowboy, Badlands, Wall Street, and Outlier provide balance and flexibility across frame size while maintaining the soundness and functionality we expect.

Sire L182

Out of our highly productive F97 cow and sired by Benelli 1919, L182 is backed by a cow that defines toughness and longevity. As a heifer, his dam broke her front leg, healed up, and went on to raise her calf—then continued to produce productive calves year after year. That grit, combined with proven performance genetics, makes L182 a bull built for durability and real-world conditions.

Cowboy & Badlands Sires side-by-side

Cowboy and Badlands are powerful half brothers out of the same outstanding cow at Lazy TV Ranch. Both bulls reflect the strength of this cow family with their sound structure, moderate frames, and practical performance.

Pictured side-by-side in their winter coats, Cowboy and Badlands highlight the kind of proven genetics that add reliability and long-term value to a breeding program.

Sire L82 Home Raised Cowboy son

Out of our proven H4 cow and a Cowboy son. When a neighbor and fellow bull breeder saw his dam on pasture he picked her out of the whole herd and said, “If a guy could have a few more cows like that, you’d be rich.” We couldn’t agree more. With a moderate frame yet always weans a calf in the top 5% of the herd and always being bred up early. Pictured above the two outer photos are him in action out at pasture, in the middle a picture of him with his winter furlough on.

Wall Street & Outlier

Wall Street and Outlier show the full frame range at Handel Farms, from our largest-framed bull to our most moderate. Together, they highlight the flexibility of our program while maintaining the soundness, muscle, and functionality we expect from every sire.
